Questions
What is kept?
Text and paragraphs. Lines set in noticeably larger type become headings (#, ## or ###), so results vary by document.
What is not kept?
Images, tables, lists, columns and bold or italic styling are not carried over.
Can it read a scanned PDF?
No. A scan is a picture of a page with no text in it, and the tool will tell you that no text was found.
Can I go the other way?
Yes. Markdown to PDF turns a .md file into a formatted PDF.
